3️⃣ Roll & Fill the Dough

  1. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch (2mm) thickness.
  2. Cut into 2-inch (5 cm) squares.
  3. Place a teaspoon of filling in the center of each square.
  4. Fold into triangles or rectangles, pressing the edges firmly with a fork to seal.

4️⃣ Cook the Dumplings

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Drop in the dumplings and cook until they float to the surface (about 3-4 minutes).
  3. Remove with a slotted spoon and let them drain.

5️⃣ Toast the Breadcrumbs

  1. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the breadcrumbs and toast until golden brown.
  3. Toss the cooked dumplings in the buttered breadcrumbs.

6️⃣ Serve & Enjoy!

  • Dust with powdered sugar and serve with sour cream for a creamy contrast.
