🍋🧈 Lemon Butter Fish Fillet

A light, fresh, and super flavorful dish—tender fish fillets pan-seared and finished with a rich lemon butter sauce. Ready in minutes and perfect for weeknights or a classy dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2–4 fish fillets (tilapia, cod, haddock, sole, or sea bass)
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Zest of ½ lemon (optional but amazing)
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (or cilantro)

Instructions

  1. Season fish on both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Cook fish 3–4 minutes per side until golden and flaky. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add butter and let it melt.
  5. Add garlic, sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Stir in lemon juice and zest.
  7. Return fish to the pan and spoon sauce over the fillets for 1–2 minutes.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Serving Ideas

  • With rice or mashed potatoes
  • Alongside steamed veggies or sautéed spinach
  • Over pasta for a light lemony seafood meal
