👩🍳 Directions:
1. Make the Dough:
In a large bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 mins until foamy.
Add melted butter, egg, and vanilla. Stir in flour and salt. Knead 8–10 minutes (or use a stand mixer) until smooth and elastic.
Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 to 1½ hours, or until doubled.
2. Prepare Filling:
Mix butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla into a paste.
3. Assemble Rolls:
- Roll out the dough into a 16×12 inch rectangle.
- Spread the cinnamon-butter mixture over the dough.
- Sprinkle chopped walnuts evenly.
- Roll up tightly from the long side. Slice into 12 even rolls.
4. Second Rise:
Place rolls in a greased 9×13” baking dish. Cover and let rise again for 30–40 minutes.
5. Bake:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Bake for 22–25 minutes, until golden on top and baked through.
6. Make Frosting:
Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and enough milk to make it spreadable.
7. Frost & Enjoy:
Spread frosting over warm rolls and top with extra crushed walnuts if desired.
