
🍞 Homemade Bread (1 kg loaf)
Ingredients
- 1 kg all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp dry yeast
- 3 tbsp oil or melted butter
- 600–650 ml warm water
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let rest 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour, salt, and oil. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let rise 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Shape dough and place in a greased loaf pan.
- Let rise again 30–40 minutes.
- Bake at 180°C / 350°F for 35–40 minutes, until golden and sounds hollow.
- Cool before slicing.

- Brush top with butter for a soft crust
- For crusty bread, place a small pan of water in the oven
