
Ingredients
- 2¼ tsp active dry yeast
- ¾ cup warm milk
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- ½ tsp salt
- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- Oil for frying
Glaze
- 1½ cups powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Mix warm milk, yeast, and 1 tbsp sugar. Rest 5–10 min until foamy.
- Add remaining sugar, egg, butter, salt, and flour. Knead until soft.
- Cover and let rise 1–1½ hours until doubled.
- Roll dough to 1 cm thickness. Cut doughnuts.
- Let rest 20 minutes.
- Fry in oil at 175°C / 350°F until golden (about 1 min per side).
- Mix glaze ingredients until smooth.
- Dip warm doughnuts into glaze. Let set.
