
🍋🧈 Lemon Butter Fish Fillet
A light, fresh, and super flavorful dish—tender fish fillets pan-seared and finished with a rich lemon butter sauce. Ready in minutes and perfect for weeknights or a classy dinner.
Ingredients
- 2–4 fish fillets (tilapia, cod, haddock, sole, or sea bass)
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Zest of ½ lemon (optional but amazing)
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (or cilantro)
Instructions
- Season fish on both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook fish 3–4 minutes per side until golden and flaky. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add butter and let it melt.
- Add garlic, sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in lemon juice and zest.
- Return fish to the pan and spoon sauce over the fillets for 1–2 minutes.
- Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Serving Ideas
- With rice or mashed potatoes
- Alongside steamed veggies or sautéed spinach
- Over pasta for a light lemony seafood meal
