Philly Cheesesteak Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) beef sirloin or ribeye, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 8 oz (225 g) mushrooms, sliced (optional)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 8 oz (225 g) provolone cheese, sliced or shredded
  • 8 oz (225 g) mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup (120 ml) beef broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C / 375°F. Grease a baking dish.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet. Sauté onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms until soft.
  3. Add beef, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook just until browned.
  4. Transfer mixture to baking dish. Pour in beef broth.
  5. Top evenly with provolone and mozzarella.
  6. Bake 20–25 minutes, until bubbly and lightly golden.
  7. Serve hot (great on toasted rolls or low-carb style).
