📝 Ingredients
- 4–5 lb (1.8–2.3 kg) pork shoulder or pork butt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup barbecue sauce (plus more for serving)
- ½ cup chicken broth or water
- Optional: 1 onion, sliced
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Pork
Pat the pork dry. Season generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and onion powder.
(Optional: Sear the pork in a hot skillet with olive oil 3–4 minutes per side for extra flavor.)
2️⃣ Slow Cook
Place pork in slow cooker.
Add sliced onion (optional), chicken broth, and ½ cup barbecue sauce.
