
Ingredients:
- 2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup (75 g) cocoa powder
- 2 cups (400 g) sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup (240 ml) milk
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) oil
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup (240 ml) hot coffee or hot water
Chocolate Syrup (for extra moisture):
- 1 cup (240 ml) milk
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9×13-inch (23×33 cm) pan.
- Mix flour, cocoa, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- Stir in hot coffee (batter will be thin).
- Pour into pan and bake 30–35 minutes.
- While cake is baking, heat milk, cocoa, sugar, and butter until smooth (do not boil).
- When cake comes out hot from the oven, poke holes all over with a fork.
- Pour warm chocolate syrup over the hot cake.
