
Instructions
1. Prepare the Dough
In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and baking powder. Add butter and mix until crumbly.
Add eggs and lemon zest, then knead into a soft dough.
Wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
2. Make the Custard
Heat the milk in a saucepan until warm.
In a bowl, whisk egg yolks, sugar, and cornstarch.
Slowly add warm milk while whisking.
Return to heat and cook, stirring constantly until thick.
Add vanilla and lemon zest, then let cool.
3. Assemble the Tart
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
Roll out half of the dough and place it in a baking pan.
Pour the custard filling over the base.
Cover with the remaining dough and seal the edges.
4. Bake
Sprinkle pine nuts on top.
Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown.
5. Serve
Let the tart cool completely, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
